About SEED Design
SEED Design is a modern lighting company. We manufacture and design all products in which we sell. We are headquartered out of Taipei, Taiwan, with a distribution facility that houses an impressive stocking program out of Seattle, WA.
SEED Design was found in 1991, by an innovative and tenacious designer, Meiric. With just a few sketches on hand, he was certain he had what it took to create an entire lighting line that would be superb in construction, striking in aesthetics, and pioneering in concept. By 1992, his first lamp, UFO made its debut in Europe. Trailing just a few years behind, JOJO, a height adjustable pendant followed in its footsteps. By 1997 Meiric decided that he couldn’t just design and sell, he had set up his own factory so that he could better guarantee the quality and ensure the end product exceeded every expectation.

The name SEED is a derivative of all things our products embody. Our lamps resemble Simplicity and Elegance, and with this what we create will last an Eternity, and at the end of the day, our goal is to Delight.
SEED Design’s Path
– SEEDDESIGN History –
Two men alone with merely six drawings found seeddesign.
UFO(SD-501)is born. Designed by Meiric, UFO makes its own debut in Europe.
Factory is set up in Dongguan, China to meet the demands for high quality.
The desk lamp Oligo with height-adjustable patent is born. And SEEDDESIGN goes to America to sue for the patent infringement in 2004.
The series of Sparkler is launched in Europe and soon it sweeps the North Europe. The cumulative total of sold Sparkle lamps exceeds 140 thousand.
We found out our own brand “SEEDDESIGN” and use the brand name to open the first store in Taipei City,Taiwan.
The oriental-style desk lamp, China obtains a patent from America and Germany.
We open the second store in Taichung, a city located in west-central Taiwan.
CASTLE, the concrete-made pendant, has drawn people’s attention around the world.
A concept store with lighting under a leafy shade is opened in the name of SEEDDESIGN in Taipei City, Taiwan.
